Buzzsaw Thin Client

Do you ever use the Buzzsaw thin client? Just remove the "client" from the URL(https://projectpoint.buzzsaw.com/yoursitename) for secure web access to your site (without the client software), download only. Is this functionality sufficient? Why or why not?

Thank You.

Never. I used to use
href="https://projectpoint.buzzsaw.com/sitename">https://projectpoint.buzzsaw.com/sitename

when all I needed to do was look at one file. Why pay the price of a full site
hierarchy download (using
href="http://projectpoint.buzzsaw.com/client/sitename">http://projectpoint.buzzsaw.com/client/siten...
)
when I just need to see one file. Jason Pratt showed me that a long time
ago; however, now that Buzzsaw 4 is wicked fast on the initial download,
that is no longer a concern. Despite this, I still don't always use the thick
client URL. I use the WebDAV URL,
href="https://webfolders.buzzsaw.com/sitename">https://webfolders.buzzsaw.com/sitename
,
when I have only a simple upload or download. I also use the WebDAV URL when I
am using someone's machine and that person's machine does not have
the ProjectPoint application already installed - for shame. I have admin
rights on my own machine, but not on other machines in the company, so I can't
install the ProjectPoint client just anywhere. I'll bet you could kill the thin
client URL and even Mike Nastchenko would not notice.

Thanks, Scott. I'm glad to know that the WebDAV URL is working well for you. We do have customers that are using the thin client so we're definitely going to continue to support it.
