Apprentice question

When plotting to our Xerox 8830 plotter, we typically write plot files from Autocad then send them to the plotter with Apprentice. Heres our problem, Apprentice seems to change our pen settings on different drawings (almost at random) when we add it to queue. Particularly the gray tones and shading. The correct pen settings are being used.
I think it's the apprentice software because we can plot the drawings on another plotter correctly. We also can plot the drawing correclty on our 11x17 laser printer. In addition, we can write correct .dwf, jpeg and tiff files of the files.
Any suggestions?

Oh, one more thing. All drawing preview the plot correctly in Autocad but do not print tones correctly from Apprentice.

Repro Desk remote was sold under the name
Apprentice back when the Phoenix team was part of Autodesk. I am guessing that
you are using the HPGL driver from AutoCAD to generate your plot files. This is
just a guess, but you

color=#000000>probably have your default pen set as something other than
hpglauto.pen. It would be helpful to know what HPGL driver you are using. A
more viable alternative to plotting this route is to u

the VIC/LDF driver.
