Activity Log - Receive Mail/Notification

Hi,

I noticed that the Activity Log has a Receive Mail action type, which I assume is so activity can be filtered to show whether someone has Received a Notification or not.

I have tested this a few times but the function doesn't seem to work. I.E. After sending myself a Notification & receiving it, the Activity Log does nto reflect this. It does show that I have Sent a Mail, but not that I have Received an Mail.

It would be fantastic if this Receive Mail was working as it should, as we are constantly getting requests to check whether users have recived Notifications or not, but there is nothing concrete about any of the information currently available from the Activity Log.

You can check whether someone has Enabled, Added or Disabled a Notification, but notthat they have Received one.

Example:

Fred Jones uploads a drawing for Review and notify's John Smith, and/or John Smith is set up to receive Notifications on this Project.

John Smith doesn't respond after 14 days, so this is considered "OK - Proceed to Construction".

Construction incurs big cost due to a clash which was not noticed by John Smith.

John Smith claims he never received the Notification.

Fred Jones searches the Actvity Log, and can see files that John has Downloaded, Uploaded etc, but  he cannot see he has Received the Notifications for a specific file. He can see that Fred himself Sent a Mail about the Project, but it isn't specific enough to be able to clarify that John Smith should have received the Notiication.

How can we gather this Information easily from the Activity Log?

Our customers are losing faith in the system and are constantly telling us that they have used other products that can get this information very easily.

Is there an easy way to get this information which I'm unaware of?

Thanks for your help.
