The ProjectPoint client application can be invoked
as a stand-alone EXE or from within Internet Explorer. It used to come with an
ObjectARX (AutoCAD Runtime eXtensions) application referred to as the
Mini-Client because it allowed you to do some of the functionality of the full
client from within AutoCAD. I believe the mini-client went away in Buzzsaw 4,
but they are working on bringing it back. Regardless, AutoCAD LT does not allow
for programmatic AutoCAD Runtime eXtensions like AutoCAD. That is why AutoCAD LT
costs less. I believe if you invoke ProjectPoint from the EXE or browser and
select "edit" for a DWG, it will bring up AutoCAD LT. So you can run AutoCAD LT
from ProjectPoint but not the other way around. Someone from Autodesk may have
more current information.
