Whenever I hatch an area in AutoCAD 2010, the boundary, and often any lines touching the boundary, act as one object with the hatch. This happens whether I hatch with an area or pick an object. The result is that any subsequent commands effect the entire group of objects associated with the hatch. If I stretch one side of the object the whole object moves. If I erase a aprt of the hatched group I have to use the Remove command or the entire group is erased. Is this normal? Is there a system attribute to turn off this function?
