Views in Glue....to Field?

Team, can you please help me again with understanding views in Glue - understand its possible to set-up views in glue, export as image, mark-up and notify etc. But when it comes to Field, is there no way to access the views within the 'Model' aspect of the BIM 360 Field App on Ipad?

Thanks,

Colin

Hello Colin,

Please, click on these links to learn more about Views in Glue, Send Notifications and Create New Markup (mobile).

How to export saved views as an image steps:

Open Autodesk BIM 360 Glue application

          Click on “Views”

Click on “Add Views” (You can do while you are under “Shared Views” or “My Views” tab

          Name you view

          Click “Save” button

Right Click on the View that you want to export as an Image

          Select “Export as Image”

Please, let me know if this help.

Thank you and have a great day!

Best regards,

Hi Anil,

Thanks for the reply.

My question is more about getting 'views' created in Glue into Field - i know i can export as image from Glue and add to Field Library. But is it not possible to create a 'view' in Glue and when sharing Model with Field the agent on site (with Ipad App) can click to that view (created in glue) in the model?

At the moment when you view model on the IPAD app it only has set external views, Orientation - East etc.

Is it clear?

Thanks,

Colin.

Hi Anil...me again. Just on this query....I have seen some video online in which 'rooms' could be added as equipment in 360 field. They were able to search for a room number on IPad app and click 'show in model', not sure how this was done? Room equipment sets from glue? The rooms were visible in model in field to select as a view. Any ideas?

Colin.

Hi Colin,

you can search for any of the information incl. room data when searching for Equipment. You will  need to set up the equipment accordingly, i.e. supply that information in BIM 360 Field first.

Any piece of equipment that comes through from BIM 360 Glue will be linked to the model, and will have the "Show in model" option in the top right corner active.

Hope that helps!
