Importing ProRes to Flame using WireTap on a MAC

    Hello all,

Has someone succeeded in importing QuickTime ProRes files from a MAC gateway machine to the Flame ? What is the workflow ? I can't find any info from AutoDesk with specific instructions to send QT ProRes files w/ embedded  timecode / metadata to a Flame. The wiretap seems to be working fine, I can see the Flame stone from there. Just don't know how to prep and send my ProRes files to the Flame.

PS -  Is there a wiretap tutorial posted somewhere ?

      thanks in advance

I've had sucsess with using the gateway library on the fame to import Pro-Res directly. Just drag them into the library and store local copy: backburner takes care of the rest.

A word of warning however; I have had no end of problems with Pro Res files in Smoke and Flame. I would recomend transcoding them first to DPX or the like otherwise you could get some colour clipping issues. Thats my experience with them anyway.
