Vault 2011 Library issue

We are using IV2011 with the basic Vault 2011.
An issue we are having with some users is that when they open a file in Inventor from the Library folder (which is read-only, and used to "store" standard parts), Inventor prompts them to Check Out the file. This happens even though their Vault Status indicates that they have the latest version on their local drive!
This is driving me nuts! Does anyone else have this problem?

Hi "geamike",
Is it possible that these two Blog posts might help?

Thanks for the links, Richard. They were helpful, as I learned a bit more about Vault.....but not in this case!
The files that this user has this happening to are simply .ipt files. Not iParts, just a stand alone .ipt.
Secondly, this only happens to this one user, out of about a dozen of us.
I'm beginning to think he needs a repair or re-install of Vault and/or Inventor.
Again, thank you for the links. I'll be visiting that site more often in the future.

OK Mike,
You could try the repair\reinstall option. I am not sure it could help though. Here are some other ideas that might help....
If its only happening on 1 machine, you might need to sit down with the user and analyse what is different about that machine from the others. So..
- Check the installed Hotfixes\patches for each application and compare those to a "healthy\happy" machine.
- Try deleting the contents of the Local Workspace (and any local\remote\mapped Library folders) that are defined in the project file.
- Ensure sure they are using the same project file (and version of the ipj) as everyone else.
- Ensure they are using the same Prompts as everyone else. The Prompts will be located in two places, In the Inventor Application options and also the Vault Options in the Vault Ribbon bar.
- Ensure they are using the same workflow to open the files as everyone else. In other words, are they opening the assembly from the Vault client or from Inventors>Open From Vault.
Let us know if any of those helps....
