SQL R2 Express Limit.

Can someone confirm that the "10GB Limit" in SQL R2 Express is the size of the SQL Databases and NOT the Total, including the Filestore.

In either case what happens when this limit is reached?

Hi,

You are correct - this is a database limit, filestore size is not relevant here.

When the limit is reached, you will start seeing SQL errors usually reported as 109 errors in the applications. The details in the log indicate that the database can no longer be grown.

Yes, just run setup from SQL Standard media and choose Maintenance, Edition Upgrade
