Inventor Vault Add In Problem

I have had several of my users report this issue to me and yesterday I got to experience it for myself.
I have three users running Inventor 2011 on Windows XP 64 bit machines. I have one other user running Inventor Pro 2011 on a Windows 7 64 bit machine and I am running Inventor 2011 on a Windows 7 64 bit machine. Each of us have had this happen. All have the latest Vault and Inventor Service Packs installed.
Whether the file is checked out of vault or is a new file to be added to vault, in the Inventor vault add in browser, there is an asterick to the right of the file name indicating it needs to be saved. The user clicks the Save toolbar button or selects Save from the application icon drop down menu and the file saves (I have checked the time stamp on the file to be sure it is in fact saving). The issue is that the asterick does not clear in the browser and the user cannot check in the file. When prompted that the file must be saved before checking in, the user clicks Yes to save, the file saves (I've checked the time stamp again) but the asterick still remains in the browser preventing the user from checking in the file. So far only Inventor drawing files appear to exhibit this behavior. Child files of the drawing file do not show an asterick indicating they need saving and there is no warning dialog box indicating any dependent files need saving, just the parent file.
The only way to check in the file is to close it, then re-open it. The asterick is cleared in the browser and the file can be checked in. After contacting Autodesk support and conducting a few experiements at their request, the "resolution" to the problem is to unload then re-load the vault add in. More of a work around than a resolution. And I don't want to have to unload and reload the add in every time I want to check in a file. I've tried running a repair of the client and an uninstall/re-install. The issue persists.
Anyone else seen this behavior and been able to get an actual fix for it?

Hi Bob,
Does this problem exist in any form of dataset?
Would you care to describe a little more about your dataset? Are you using skeletal modeling, iLogic or any Inventor workflows that does computational updates?

There doesn't seem to be any particular dataset that will cause the issue.
I had a drawing file that was generated from an assembly model that was having the problem. My other users had the same problem with drawing files generated from part files. One user was displaying the checkin issue with a drawing created from a part file that was converted from a step file. We use skeletal modeling and iparts.
It seems to be confined to Inventor drawing files and the 64 bit OS. I have a few 32 bit users who have not experienced the check in/save issue.

Bob,
I'm unable to reproduce the problem in your specified environment (Win 7 64 bit).
Could you send me a sample of your dataset along with the project file to my email at the following: alan[dot]ho[at]autodesk[dot]com
