Cannot edit Scheme Format of Revision Scheme Definition

Our company Revision Scheme Definition named "REV" was originally set up to accommodate alphabetic revisions A through P for our preliminary drawings, prior to being IFC.

We have an out-of-the-ordinary scenario where a preliminary drawing needs be changed to "Q", but cannot since this is not within the scheme format definition.

I've tried to make changes to the Scheme Format within the Revision Scheme Definition, but keep getting the message "Revision Scheme Format 'REV' is used by revision scheme definition and cannot be edited".

Is there another settings that I'm missing?

    Thanks!

    Hey There,

Once a revision scheme is in use you are not able to modify the content of that scheme.  In order to change the revision to Q, you really need to create a new scheme which includes "Q" and change the affected documents revision scheme to this new scheme.

If this is a one off this should be a simple case of having a backup scheme for this type of issue, but you can also make this new scheme a default, replacing the outdated revision range.

    Hope this helps.
