ASPX file failed to run at URL...

I'm trying to Install Vault 2011 on my local PC for the purposes of testing and development, but I'm having problems installing.

When I get to the pre-install checks I get the eror saying:

"ASPX file failed to run at URL: 'http://localhost/TestASP/TestASPNet.aspx"

I've also attached the complete log file for interest.

I've gone through the help on this page:

    http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Autodesk-Vault/ASPX-file-failed-to-run-at-URL-quot-http-localhost80-Te...

And the instructions in the help file (below):

    • ASPX file failed to run at URL: "http://localhost/TestASP/TestASPNet.aspx".

The test ASPX did not run properly. Re-register the ASP.Net filters. At the command line, enter:

      c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_regiis -i -enable

On a 64-bit operating system, enter:

      c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework64\v2.0.50727\aspnet_regiis -i -enablec:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_regiis -i -enable

Also, check to make sure that the default web site is using version 2.0 of ASP.Net. To change this setting, right-click My Computer and then select Manage. In the Computer Management window, expand Services and Applications > Internet Information Services > Web Sites and then right-click Default Web Site and select Properties. In the Default Web Site Properties dialog, click the ASP.NET tab. From the ASP.NET version drop-down list, select 2.0.

With the instructions above, I don't have an ASP.NET tab in the Web Site Properties dialog, but in the IIS Manager, the ASP.NET version is shown as V2.0.50727 (32-bit) and is set to 'allowed'.

Is there anything else I can try? I'm didn't think it'd be this hard...

FYI I'm running Windows XP SP2 on a x64 box.

    Hope you can help!

Are you serving anything else up besides Vault on your IIS?  I am thinking that you might have to uninstall IIS based on http://wikihelp.autodesk.com/Vault/enu/Help/Help/0206-Autodesk206/0210-About_Yo210/0238-Installi238/....  Another thing that might be odd is try to run the pre-check tests again.  There is sometimes a race condition there that causes this error.

    Hi,

IIS isn't being used for anything at the moment, This is my local client machine, I'm installing for dev/testing only.

I've uninstalled and re-installed IIS and re-run the pre-check test, but no luck so far.

    Any other suggestions?

    Cheers

You might want to check this other thread out:

Unfortunately, it might be faster to get a response thru product support.

My bad...   It should be this one: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Autodesk-Vault/Vault-server-2012-upgrade-to-Vault-server-2013/td-p/343...

Name of the thread is "Vault server 2012 upgrade to Vault server 2013".
