Hello Autodesk Surveyors,

I have a closed traverse and want to do the following:

1. convert between Degrees Minutes Seconds (DMS) to Decimal Degrees (DD)
2. add several angles using DMS format

I'm unable to see how to do this using the QUICKCALC command within AutoCAD. This seems very basic to me so I think I'm missing what command to use.

Yes. It's very basic but I don't think you can do that in QuickCalc. I usually use an external calculator like Excalibur 32 and pass numbers back and forth using Copy/Paste.

Maybe you can create small LISP to convert from DD to DMS and vice versa.
