I'm trying to define a loop but I'm getting the message "Insufficient angles/dist to calculate this loop." I also get the message "First Occ. Pt. does not have known Coordinates!" The point is in the database, what do i need to do to have them known?

I'm with you on this one. I continue to have problems with this function. I don't have an answers.... .only more questions.
I collect survey data with a Nikon 521 and download the coordinate file into Autocad 2004 Civil. I would like to define a traverse loop by a series of point numbers that I have traversed through and complete the loop with the last point observed compared to the first point I started from. (that being my error of closure) Can I do this from "on screen" points? Or do I have to create a fieldbook for traverse balancing. Can I create a fieldbook from "on screen" points?
