I have set the working folder to the 'new local survey database' folder created upon importation, this folder contains the survey.sbd & survey.sdx files. after setting the working folder to this folder, i still do not get the 'open survey database' option.... let me run this by you:
i have been importing field book files, no coordinate zone, i toggle units to US Feet and continue with the importation. for some reason Civil 3D multiplies the coordinates by 1.000002 (international feet) and then subtracts the difference of the new coordinate and the original coordinate from the original coordinate and that is where the points fall. except the z value, that value is multiplied by 1.000002 and is elevated to that new value. this shift is no good for us, we had no idea about what was going on so i overwrote this import event with a txt file. i might have deleted the import event also. did the tie to the survey database oringally created break from these actions? hmmm. still haven't figured out how to get a straight import of a field book file, but i can get linework with a text file so i'm ok for now. any thoughts?
