FBK Conversion from Raw file

I am using LDD 2004. When I convert my TDS .raw file to the .fbk autocad file, I receive errors when importing to autocad. I am unable to generate any linework unless I convert it to a .fbk file. This is not occuring in LDD 2000, according to other sources using the same software.
I talked to TDS and they tell me it's an Autodesk conflict, as the new 2004 version doesn't read the .fbk file correctly.
Any Help?
