Why the clamp force is very high when using pinpoint gate?

I have done a simulation which the part is using pinpoint gate for injection molding. The clamp force reached to 5 tonne. Usually with normal size gate, the clamp force is about 0.5 tonne.
How to explain this phenomenon? Thanks!

Hi,
this is diffcult to say as no information on study and process settings.
Is this 3D or Dual Domain/Midplane study?
Seems to be a cavity pressure difference when using gate location only comparing adding runner system.
Is the fill time of cavity the same when using gate location only compared with study having runner system?
Is there an unbalanced fill, causing peak pressure, and peak clamp force?
When does clamp force starts to raise, early or late in filling phase?
Is the switch over too late?
Compare pressure build up in cavity when using gate location only compared with study having runner system.

Dear Nordhb,
Thank you for your reply.
This is a 3D study. Yes, there is peak pressure and clamp force at late filling phase. In the early phase, it is filling the runner system.
I will try the simulation when using gate location only and later feed back to you.
Thank you very much!
Best regards,
