I'm wondering how the wall calculator calculates torque. I had some questions about my results, so I ran a simple model with a plate facing the flow. Using the wall calculator, the Mx, My, and Mz calculations were all independent of the point or direction specified under Moment axis.
So in this example, how do I get just the moment about the x axis running through the center of the plate. For the right side and the left side of the plate (I split it in half)? If not, is there at least a way to export certain results to a program that can?
I included the setup. Running Sim CFD 2013 on Windows 7.
Note: The only value that changed was the Moment in the summary, but that's not very helpful with more than one surface selected.
