I was wondering how to create a results surface using a surface rather than a plane (or at the very least using a planar surface to create a results plane) which seems to be possibly in CFDesign, yet the I can't seem to find an option for it in Simulation CFD. Is the option somewhere else or was the feature removed entirely?

Hi Tim,
you can either evaluate surfaces of the model through the wall calculator, or if you want to use the result plane options you can automatically place the plane on a surface. To do this just left click on the plane and chose the button top right:
