Massed particle traces - Eulerian Lagrangian model?

Hi

I was looking at the documentation of SimCFD  and stumbled across Massed particle traces.

Is this a typical typical Lagrangian particle tracking, like DPM in Fluent? Are the equations for velocity and position of the individual particles solved, taking into account the drag and inertial forces?

The mention of Lagrangian approach occurs at many places, in particle traces and in erosion; hence I was intrigued about how comprehensive it is.

Regards

Yes! All those aspects are solved with the massed particle traces.  I cannot comment on how much it compares to Fluent particle traces.

From your comment, it seems you have already read through this, but here is a reference for the community: http://wikihelp.autodesk.com/Simulation_CFD/enu/2013/Help/0138-The_Proc138/0384-Results_384/0387-Pla...

Yes I have gone through it but I wanted to make sure if it is really a Lagrantian particle tracking or some modelled articaft.

Thanks for the clarification.

Cheers

Omkar.
