    Hi

I am brand new to CFD, a bit familiar with the inventor. I need to do lift simulation. I was checking several tutorials and I found also this: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Autodesk-Simulation-CFD/NACA-AEROFOIL-2415-lift-coefficient-calculatio...

I see that for airfoil simulation you suggest 2D option. I dont get one thing, maybe stupid question. There is stated that 2D simulation uses 1 unit depth. So does this treat wing as one meter span( if metric units are chosen), and lift is calculated for 1 meter wingspan? So there is no possibility to simulate delta or swept trapezoid wing this way? Am I correct or maybe I dont understand this?

Is there possibility to simulate lift of the rotating cylinder( magnus effect)?
