I am not a user but am trying to fix a problem that my company is having. We have a dual quad core processors with I think 32 gigs of ram. Here is the problem that we are having. Is there a way to allocate more ram then 8 gigs to the simulation, so the render will not take so long?
Thanks for any help.

For CFD simulations we will take the memory required, on average about 2-2.5GB for every 1 Million elements.
Outside of that, there is no method of forcing CFD to take more memory as more would not increase the speed of the simulation.
Speed of simulation will be dictated by:
Total Number of Elements
Physics being modeled
Clock Speed
Number of Physical cores (not including virtual / hyperthreading)
To make a simulation faster you can improve the hardware, or reduce complexity / elements
