as title, is there anyway to model supports as such? i.e. K=1,000,000KN/m in compression yet 50,000kN/m in tension?
one way go around is probably by defining 2 supports next to each other with one set Uz+ and the other one set Uz-
any comments are welcome.

You can define a non-linear model type linear in parameters (without symmetry) with different k values for positive and negative semi-axis... Then assign that model name for the direction you want in support definition.
