Hi
I would like to know if in the next version will wall design (EC-2/EC-8) be performed ?
Also any plans for classification of structural regularity (EC8 4.2.3) and anchorage of beam's reinforcement (EC8 5.2.2) ?
In general what's new regarding EC-2 and EC-8
Thanks in advance

Good question, however;
Surely all of the EC code stuff is behind AS3600 being implemented in terms of the "to do" list. ![]()
Sorry dimogrec to ruin your day

I'm very sorry but due to the company policy it is not possible for us to discuss any development plans for new versions till the moment this information is officially released by Autodesk.
EC8 4.2.3 - what kind of implementation of this point would you like to see in Robot please?
EC8 5.2.2 - as far as I can see this point is Structural types and behaviour factors. Am I missing something?

Hi Artur and thanks for responding
EC8 4.2.3 some estimations about for geometrical limitations given at 4.2.3 (3) and 4.2.3 (5) would be helpful
My mistake, it is 5.6.2.2 (anchorage of reinforcement - beams)

I'm sorry but I feel that you missed some numbers 4.2.3. X. (3) and 4.2.3.Y (5) - what X and Y are?
My mistake, it is 5.6.2.2 (anchorage of reinforcement - beams)
Added to the wish list.

Thanks Artur and sorry again (seems like I'm drunk
)
4.2.3.2 Criteria for regularity in plan
(3) The plan configuration shall be compact, i.e., each floor shall be delimited by a
polygonal convex line. If in plan set-backs (re-entrant corners or edge recesses) exist,
regularity in plan may still be considered as being satisfied, provided that these setbacks
do not affect the floor in-plan stiffness and that, for each set-back, the area
between the outline of the floor and a convex polygonal line enveloping the floor does
not exceed 5 % of the floor area.
4.2.3.3 Criteria for regulation in elevation
(5) geometrical conditions for setbacks a) b) and c)
In case you're making a wish-list please include (shear) wall design with seismic requirements of EC8. Do you know if and when wall design will be available?

Hi All
Very interesting question. I do not know if there is a wishlist ... but should be (I.E. like AutoCAD MEP Wishes just to be clear).
To stay on topic, I think to be really a fanatic of 4.2.3.2 (2) to (6) and 4.2.3.3 (2) to (9) with a very special passion for the 4.2. 3.2(6).
The structural eccentricity and the torsionally radius may represent a severe reduction of the capacity of the structure do develop the require ductility and, of course, the validity of the whole calculation. The mystical number q completely loses its meaning if 4.2.3.2 (6) is not observed. The calculation of the parameters rx and ls is very laborious even if, in a first approximation, may be made only on the basis of the geometry of the structure.
Thanks
