    Sub-dividing floor slab object

    Hi,

Is is possible to define a floor slab corresponding to the total area and then sub-divide it afterwards. I'm primarily interested in generating seperate regions internally.

I have a reduced slab depth in some internal regions and I would prefer to avoid defining a floor plate consisting of say 10 seperate objects as I'm having problems with meshing this. When I define these seperate members they're not snapped to the same node (fractions of a millimeter apart).

    Thanks,

    Jesper

Turn off snap to node and snap to grid then draw with snap to mid/end point.  You can't subdivide panels

You can create internal panels or create panels from FEs selection (limitation : no inner holes \ openinng in selection)
