I'm trying to model a prestressed beam as part of my Final Year Project in college. Can someone suggest the best method to do this in Robot?

    Thanks

I'm sorry but prestressed beams are not available in the current version of Robot.

Thanks for the quick responce Artur,

I know its a long shot, but do you know if it is possible to mimic a prestressed beam by embedding a pre-strained cable in a concrete solid element?

No, I don't think this is going to work but you may consider use of the type of the load described here:

    http://docs.autodesk.com/RSA/2012/ENU/filesROBOT/GUID-DD417BE7-3816-40A0-BE5B-CED114716FA-465.htm

Mind that no prestress losses are included.
