Portal Frame - Haunch

I am trying to apply a haunch to a portal frame. I can apply a "bracket' but I am not convinced it is working.

Can someone tell me how to apply a haunch at mid-span and at the eaves on a simple portal frame.

Brackets are applied  at start or end of bar element:

Strange that they call it "Bracket" and not just simply "Haunch".
