    Error in reading sections data-check the sections database

    I just started trying out Robot. I can't seem to resolve an "Error in reading sections data-check the sections database". Any suggestions.

    When exactly this message is displayed? The moment you start Robot? Could you make its screen capture and attach it please?

    I get the following error message after:

    1. I open Robot

    2. Load a project

    3. Go to Geometry menu

    4. Go to Properties

    5. Go to Sections

    6. Attempt to open a section selection from the properties database.

    Bill,

     

    Thank you for this information. Could you tell me what section databases are declared in your Job Preferences? Could you remove all of them but ruser (user section database) and then add them one by one to the list to see if any particular database from the original list is the cause of this situation please?

    Bill,

     

    I have assumed you know that you can add a new section using the New Section definition icon rather than Section selection one from the database but then I realized that you actually may not know this so I decided to make this additional post. Of course the question about the list of databases you have got declared is still valid.

    Please download and install SP1 for Robot 2012 (mind to select the correct version of the pack depending on the version of Robot you have installed) from http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/index?siteID=123112&id=2334435&linkID=13140816

     

    If you have 64-bit system you will need to install HF2 as well which will be available on this site later today or tomorrow.
