I do not see any problem with Newton Raphson algorithm.

calculation times:

all cases, Newton Raphson, Sparse Solver - 2227seconds

simple cases set as auxiliary, Newton Raphson, multithreaded solver - 1700seconds - such model here :

I suggest you to use Automatic solver - it will report instabilities in model.
