Autodesk Robot Verification and Theory

I am looking for the Robot Verification Manual as well as a theory manual, particular with reference to the finite elements in robot.

The verification manual can be found in en-US\Manuals\Verification manuals folder on Robot DVD.

 

 

Surface elements – 3 node triangles (T3) and 4 node quadrilaterals (Q4)

 

  •  Bending state – elements DKMT / DKMQ (Discrete Kirchoff – Mindlin Triangle / Quadrilateral) [2][3]

 

  •  Membrane state – elements T3w and Q4w with corrected approximation of membrane state with respect to “drilling rotation” [1]

         A unified  formulation for triangular and quadrilateral flat shell finite elements  with six nodal degrees of freedom . Communications in Applied Numerical Methods.Vol  7, 1-9(1991)

Try to find the path of c:\Program Files\Autodesk\Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional 2012\Documents\Verification manuals\

What type of shell element is used in Autocad Robot Structural Analysis Professional
2013 calculations? Is it maybe
the Discrete Kirchoff – Mindlin Quadrilateral

??

I naively thought that Autodesk will publish new manuals for new 2014 version.  😞

I just stumbled upon this post. Until 2013, the verification manuals were put on the DVD. They have since been removed due to space.

The Verification Manuals can now be found on the autodesk.com website under Support and Learning.

Here is a direct link:
