    Thickened slab footings

How do you create thickened slab footings?:

    -------
    \_____/

I cannot seem to modify a wall footing type to have the 'beveled' sides.
Even if it turns out that I can get beveled sides, how would I add a 'wall'
footing without the wall? (Usually we provide these footings below
non-bearing walls, which we don't typically draw or show.)
IOW, I just need a footing inserted inside the slab on grade, kind of like a
thickened slab edge (and it's mirror) without the edge.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I actually ended up having to create a new family using a Concrete Beam
family. Edit the family to have the beveled sides and place it in the
project paying attention to where the top of the beam/thickened slab is
    located.

That makes more sense than what I was trying.
I will look into this. Thanks much for the reply!

I was just wondering if you had any luck creating a thickened slab with the bevelled edges. I posted a similar topic and was just wondering if there was any progress, as well what is the possibility of getting the family you created. I am new to revit and I am having difficulty trying to create a new family.

    any help would be appreciated.

I am also having issues with thickened slabs with the bevel on both sides.

Has there been any success for anyone?  Has anyone been able to make the "concrete beam with beveled edges" idea work?

    Thanks in advance!

How about making an inplace foundation family. Make a profile of the section with the top at the bottom of the slab. Create a sweep and trace the nonbearing wall locations.

Yep, I did this about a week ago. I created a new wall type with a sweep and also for the different wall thicknesses i use. when you have a deadline it is amazing what you can figure out.

    Thanks anyway
