That sounds like a lot of phases to manage, so I would proceed with caution. We see a lot of improperly phased projects via our tech support system.  One red flag is when we see a phase called "demolition".  This is usally created when someone doesn't understand how phasing works in Revit.

I think that if the phases are well thought out and truly relate to the timing of different parts of the projects development, and your work will also occur during all those phases then it may make sense.   It definitely warrants a coordination meeting with the architect.

Automatic Mapping relies on phase names corresponding:  http://wikihelp.autodesk.com/Revit/enu/2013/Help/00001-Revit_He0/2278-Collabor2278/2279-Linked_M2279...

    Good luck!
