filterring pipes/conduits of different sizes

Can some1 help me with my project. We are currently doing the electrical part of a certain hospital using Revit MEP. Included in our scope is the modelling of the conduits and feeders for the electrical fixtures, equipment etc.

However, our client wants to group the conduits in two:

1. conduits 2 inches or smaller.

2. conduits bigger than 2 inches

With the option to turn off/hide the smaller of conduits if desired.

I know there are a lot of ways to do this but I would really like to know what will be the most efficient approach for this situation.

Use Filters-

Categories= Conduits, Conduit Fittings

Filter Rules=

     Filter By: Size

     Is Less than / Is Greater than

     (Size)

Thanks a lot... I thought I have no choice but to manually assign them on separate worksets...

Just a follow up question: When I do your instruction and use a filter rule less than 53 which is approximately to inch, when I select apply the filter rules i had set up disappears and i end up with no filter rules at all. I still think I'm doing something wrong here. Exactly what size should I input? should it be just 53 or 53 mm or 53 mm with the diameter symbol?

For now I have resorted to setting the filter rules to service type rather than size just to workaround the problem until I get the actual solution.

I believe you have to call out what it is (53mm).  If you do not specify, the revit will assume the large unit (53m).  Also, you have to make sure you have a 53mm pipe size set up.  It might not know what to do if you don't have that size.  Let me know if any of this works.

I tested it on pipe & conduit & it seems to work for me.

Note I used a size that does not exist & didn't specify units.

Revit should pick up the default units anyway, in some places it actually converts them on the fly. If I enter "2.5in" in a fitting family parameter, for example, it converts to mm when I press enter.

Is this what you did?
