What is the best way to filter piping? As all pipes turn on or off based on the filter, if I only want waste and vent, and not supply, how best to make a filter for that? I have tried by system type, but some fittings do not change to the system they are connected to, so on the waste and vent plan the supply piping is turned off, by the filter but the fittings remain.
To fix this, I made multiple pipe types, and also modified every fitting to have similar pipe type names, and modified the Gas pipe type to use the gas fitting. This is cumbersome and also doesnt always work. The other downside is if Revit gets new fittings, I need to re-modify them all again.
Shouldnt this filtering be partly built into Revit, especially for the MEP version, as every MEP job i am sure will have to have filtering of different pipes as well as ducts?
