Visibility Problem with Linked DWG

I have a DWG linked to my model - when I cut a section view, the crop boundaries are not functioning with the Linked DWG. Basically, no matter how I crop my section I can see the linked model elements beyond the rear crop boundary. The section view begins where I place it, in the direction chosen and it crops everything else besides the Linked DWG's.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I am having the same problem in MEP 2012.  Was a solution ever found?

You have to insert the DWG into a family.

Jrobker is correct. By default, imported .dwg files (2D or 3D) are not "cuttable" in Revit. There are a couple ways to make a family out of the .dwg.

1)
Open a Generic Family.

Insert the .dwg.

Save the Family.

Load it into the project.

2)

In the project, start an In-place Family.

Insert the .dwg.

Finish the Family.
