MEP Model size?

What kind of model size are other users sucessfully working with?

I have a model that is 1.3Mb for 2 levels and the plant room (all services). The 2 levels we designed in detail repeat up the building (yes, they actually do! almost) so I want to use the copy & paste to multiple levels to get most of the data in the right place.

I'm a bit concerned that the file size will blow out to something unmanagable though.

Breaking up into linked models isnt a big problem, it will just be slower when it comes to replicating the levels.

TIA

One of our current MEP (w/Arch & Struct Links) models is 222.9 MB, typically 3-4 users at a time, we have a mish-mash of different computer configs, and we don't see an overwhelming amount of sluggishness. But, why not save a copy of your model as a separate "test" project and then see exactly what the copy/pasting does to the file size?

Ha ha, lucky you.

We experience a lot of sluggishnss, but thats server related, not revit related.

& good idea, I think I'll try that.
