Light Fitting Creation

Hi,
I don't use Revit, but our customer is looking in to it. We make light fittings and ideally we would supply our customer with files they could import directly, rather than taking an IES file and dimensional data and having to do it themselves. Is there a way I can do this?
Thanks,
Ollie

Yes, but you will need a seat of Revit, then learn to use the Family Editor.

Thanks, I feared as much. My organisation would have little use for Revit so a seat is highly unlikely just to support this one situation. Is there no way to do this without?
Is there anyone out there who creates luminaires often? Perhaps you would be kind enough to reply with a list of the data you find most crucial/useful in creating a fitting quickly and effectively?
Thanks again,
Ollie
