I am working with an architect that is using AutoCad Architectural Desktop, they have created there building model however when I link the cad file into revit all or most of the 3D from the architectural file goes flat? is there a way to import a architectural cad file and keep all the 3D components, I am not woried about them being "intelligent" just need the graphical representation. Thanks.

I would think that the 3D aspect of the DWG link would be retained in Revit. Have you tried exploding the walls prior to importing to see if that makes a difference? If not, would you be able to post a tiny sample of the DWG file, consisting of a single 3D wall?
