I created a plumbing fixture family with a shared parameter (ie, HWFU). When I set the connector to an Instance parameter, the fixture units calculate just fine.
I set the connector to a Type parameter, load the family into the project (overwrite existing & parameter values), change the Type parameter to a number (1 in this case), the calculated fixture units in the pipe drop to 0.
Any ideas on why this isn't working? I'm using Revit MEP 2013.

I just noticed that whatever I set the "default" value to before I load it into the project is what's calculated. Whenever I change the parameter, whether it be in the schedule or by Edit Type, it does not reflect in the pipe system.
