Can you Duplicate a view With its Dependent views?

If I create a Floor Plan view, then create dependent views off of it.... can I then duplicate the main view with the dependents?

I'm asking because I'm creating a main floor plan, then the duplicates are the matchlined views for each sheet layout - quadrants A thru D.  It would be nice if there were a way to easily duplicate the layouts for HVAC to Plumbing, not just to save time but assuring the views are cut at the same place.

Thanks,

Jess

I'm sorry.  I just figured I was behind the times!  This is how I did it:

Step One:

Find the main view you want to copy and Duplicate (I used Duplicate with Details because I wanted the room names copied over.)

Step Two:

While you have the new view as your Active view (you can tell because the new view will be in BOLD letters in the Project Browser), right click on the original view.  Then click on "Apply Dependent Views".  It will ask you if you want to apply the dependent views to the new view that you just renamed.  Click on Yes.

Step Three:

Rename views as needed.

It's pretty easy.

This is a great feature. I used it a while back on a large high school. The annoying part was renaming all 21 dependent views. Why couldn't it just copy over the names while it was copying the views?

Please, Autodesk?

You can use DYNAMO to rename the views for you.

Just create a little script to suit.
