I am trying to find the best way to make the wall/roof shown below.  I have experimented with the normal route of using walls and roofs with no luck, then I tried a conceptual mass, then I tried model in place component which is how I made the model below and that worked to get the exterior form I need, but I cant void the interior part of the crossing forms so I can finish the floor plan on the interior. I need to somehow erase the portion of the two buildings where they overlap so I dont have the interior wall of the smaller building.  I am kind of a newbie and I can not figure this out. I use revit architecture 2010. any help would be greatly appreciated.

couple ways:  edit the sketch of the lower roof and have the skrtch have the "ntoch" that follows the inside walls.  Alternative, use the Join Roof tool.

This example is joining between 2 roofs, but also works between a roof and a wall.

Edit: after posting, I re-read and see that maybe you are talking about joining the Vertical wall and the roof at the end to look like the roof wraps down and becomes the wall.  Is that correct?  I thought you were talking about the lower roof hitting the taller wall at first.

Correct, I am talking about having the roof wrap around and become the wall.  Sorry, its a bit difficult to explain, especially when I have a pic of it already done.  I was basically saying that I have done what I was trying to do (which is wrapping the roof/wall as one) but I need help where the two buildings intersect.  I need to subtract where they intersect. The smaller building is still intact all the way thru the larger and I cant find the right way to edit the "in-place model". I need to get rid of the wall that goes thru larger building so I can finish the floor plan.  The problem is that it does not have wall properties. When i made the wall/roof in the "component-model in place" tab, I gave it roof properties because when I made it wall properties, I could not get the other walls to "attach top/base" to the Roof/wall because it was technically a wall. 

Or.........If there is a better way to achieve the wrapping of the Wall/roof together from the beginning that will skip all the mess that I have created above, I am open to suggestions.  Thanks in adavance, sorry if my post was confusing.

two ways to do that:  try the Roof Opening tool to cut the lower roof where it intersects the walls.  Another way, whlle editing the inplace roof, add a void extrusion that will cut out the portion where the rooms intersect.
