To set up worksets, link. or combine both for (3) predominant areas?

    Hi,

Currently we are breaking apart a model and the landscape portion of the file, becaue it's becoming to slow to work on even after purging all unused items. We will be linking these files instead creating a workset because the project is almost complete except for some interior rooms.

    Question is for future projects:

Are we better off linking the landscape part of the model over workset/sharing it?

Plans are to start worksets this summer and we are not sure on how to go about breaking up the file's (3) major areas  that we will be heavily involved with and those are:

    1.  House models are around 5,000. sq ft.
    2.  interiors -  highly detailed.
    3. Landscapes - Elaborate.

Any advise on the best work practices for worksets, linking, and or using a combination of to better handle the major (3) above would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Hi bluicat

The following technical note has useful information on suggestions for worksets and linking files and when to break up your model into multiple files:
