Can anyone suggest how I might achieve a simple roof having a long ridge between two gables but with a rising wall plate from one end to the other. In other words a simple roof with a long rectangular footprint, opposing long edges with slope properties of say 35 deg. giving two gables but where each gable has to be separated by an elevation of say 1000mm? I think this is what you might be after.
I created this using the shape editing tools. I made a flat roof and then added a split line and raised that to make the gable. Then I edited the 3 points on one side to make them all higher the other side making the raked gable effect.

Thanks Jeff, especially for introducing me to shape editing tools. I have never used them before!
