Roof - Stepped Gable Overhang

How do I get the lower overhang to project under the upper overhang?  See attached Photo.

Use the Join/Unjoin Roof tool on the Modify Tab.  Pick the edge of the roof you want to extend, and then pick the face of the wall to extend it to. Also works to extend roof edges to other roofs, as in a dormer condition.
