Autodesk Revit Architecture

good Morning

Im keeping track of Revit suites that Autodesk store but since 2012 products came out. Have they discontinued a few suites?

Building Design Suite

or

Revit Architecture Visulaization Suite ( I could never get on that page for a price anyways).  Or should i just stick with the local resellers and request a quote?

well on the in the autodesk "shop online"

there is no Autodesk Building Design Suite

and like i stated the "Revit Architecture Visulaization Suite"

for the past 2 months that suite comes up with a error page.

But I do see now that when you do go to the

Autodesk Building Design Suite web page

it does states to only buy this from a reseller and not from the Autodesk "shop online" site

is this true????

you need to go to a reseller to purchase the new suites

No they aren't! We're being force fed programs that will never be used.

How is it free when the price is substantially higher than the Revit Architecture Suites of 2011, 2012 or 2013 and how is it conscionable for a Suite package of 2013 be discontinued when we are not even 1/2 way through 2012?

Because Revit 2013 has Revit Architecture and Revit

MEP and Revit Structure all in one, and now selling for

a fraction of what they WERE selling for together. Plus

you get free programs with it. Maybe something you know

about it I don't? Please explain.

Edit: But I tend to agree that when any company lets 

marketing people go wild with product "shell games"

like this, the company suffers eventually.

The AutoCAD Revit Suite has not been conmpletely "discontinued."  You can no longer purchase it as a package, but you can continue to get updates on it as part of your subscription.

i still don't get it. (sorry).

we have many seats of Revit Architectural Suite 2013; what do you mean by 'updates'? meaning patches or new versions? does the forced upgrade to 'Building Design Suite' account for our yearly subscription fee? we just received a quote from one of our resellers for $1,195 per upgraded seat. what gives?
