Is anyone using a printing service that is using Repro Desk? Repro Desk converts multiple file formats to TIFF 4. Unfortunately, if PDF's are sent one or all of the following problems occur: 1) Entire image prints out black 2) Solid lines print out as dashed If so, how do you setup Revit to work with this service and in what format? Or does anyone know of a good TIFF 4 Windows driver that works with Revit? Or has anyone had better luck with a specific HP driver? From looking at their website it says that the latest version can process DWF's. You can effortlessly batch plot a whole set to DWF within Revit, then send it to the OCE that way. Plotted a set of sheets yeterday to Revit PDF Writer, took it to the local printer, and they brought it up in Reprodesk. Printed perfectly. Also took a DWF just.in case....their Reprodesk just got upgraded, but it rejected the DWF. Hi Jeffrey, Yes, PDF's from the Revit PDF print driver. The printing company is telling me that the PDF file is the most restrictive file format, from the standpoint of making adjustments to lineweights, etc. because it is basically hard coded. Scott, What output device and model number is your outsource company using? Do you know what specific driver versions they are using? Our outsource company uses either an OCE 9800 or a TDS600. Any ideas on what specific settings they are using? Question: Is the pen table controlled through Reprodesk or from the plot file? This is true. Unless you open a PDF in Illustrator or something, you can't do much with it. If you really want to be able to control lineweights at the plotter like that (which, using Revit, I can't see why you would, but that's just me) then you can still use PLT files, or simply batch export everything to DWG. Shoot....i dont know the specifics about the model or drivers the are using. I will try and find out. I do know they have a pen table in Reprodesk created for our drawings. I've had success in the past downloading the driver for the printing company's printer and using it to create the plot files.
