Material schedule does not pick up rail material inside reiling family

How do you schedule a paint for a railing?
The material tag does pick up the material, in the drawing, but the schedule does not...

    Thank you

You are correct. I do not know why the Revit development team has not included railings and the materials associated with the railing. You can use a Keynote tag and legend to represent a railings materials.

I would agree that every model element and its parts or components should have the ability to be tagged and scheduled, including their associated materials. Time for the AUGI Wish List.

And also the railings schedule doesn' t count post, panels and rails numbers!

At the moment I am doing the calculation manually (lenght/distance from previous) but it will be nice if autodesk can solve this problem, isn't it?

    regards.

For a more detailed estimate, not only for railings, but for everything else, you should continue the work in another program, especialized in estimating.
