Hi,
question:
I am trying to find out if there is a quick launch for editing a linked cad file in autocad?
for example: I have a linked cad plan on a sheet in revit and would like to edit some layers, is there anyway to select the cad in revit and have it launch autocad and open that file?
or do you have to manually open the file from it's folder path, save, and reload?
thanks
also i am primarily using 2009, sometimes 2011

Unfortunately there is no method to launch a CAD link and edit the CAD file in AutoCAD.
You can select the CAD link in Revit > Delete Layers, should you wish to remove specific layers from all project views.
Thank you,
