    Dependent Dimensions, Independent Graphics

We have a need for multiple sheets to use the same dimensioning, however independent visibilty graphics options.  Dependent views get us halfway there as far as the dimensions go, but fall short when we need to apply a filter to just one of the views.  Any suggestions or work arounds would be appreciated.

Unfortunately there isn't a real workaround - this is only because dimensioning is considered annotation - therefore view specific. The view you place it in is the only view you will see it.

Not the answer you were looking for - I know.

You can't think AutoCAD and run Revit.

Is there a particular reason that the Dimension Elements cannot be copy/pasted to each View? (You can Copy the desired Dimensions to clipboard and then Paste Aligned to Current View to quickly duplicate the dimension layout.)

One work-around would be to create a dedicated View for those particular elements and their dimensions and overlay that View on top of the primary Views on the Sheets. You can create a Dependent View of this dedicated View in order to overlay it on multiple Sheets.
