    Change template

Imagine the architect hands the pre-construction model over to the construction

drafters/engineers in a Revit 2013 project file. That model is based on a default

template but the construction people need their own template, full of all the goodies

THEY use. How are they going to make this change?

I would think they would be able to 'transfer project standards' from a file created with the Construction template and most of the 'goodies' would be brought over to the project.  Any of the families could then be harvested to complete the transition.

    Thanks for your reply spike.

Project standards. That's what I figured, but I never changed my template

in the middle of a project. I only added things to it one-at-a-time.

So then what you are saying is that a project based on a default template can

be "updated" to a project based on a construction template?

Did you ever successfully convert a project from one template to another? I am trying to do that now and have been unable to.
